BIM Dimension

Building Information Modelling (BIM) dimensions refer to levels of information and data entered in to a 3D model using BIM software, and includes 3D model data, time data, costs, and sustainability.

  • 1D which involves the program data.
  • 2D involves a design base upon the data that was program
  • 3D: three-dimensional rendering of the artefact
  • 4D: duration analysis
  • 5D: cost analysis
  • 6D: sustainability assessment
  • 7D: management phase of what has been achieved
